Interview to Daniel Yildirim at Sunnysideshines

Chakra Café has a plethora of breakfast and brunch options to choose from. This bright blue beauty on the corner of 44-01 Queens Blvd is newly owned by the one and only Daniel Yildirim. Daniel became the owner of Chakra café on May 25th, 2020. Throughout his ownership, he has endlessly supported our community, from donating bags of food, to supporting local entrepreneurs. Daniel embraces community and customer satisfaction. He takes pride in supporting local singers and artists. He plans to support a local soccer team soon. “As a business If we take from the community, we should give back since we are part of it”

Daniel immigrated to the U.S in 2001 and has been a Sunnyside resident for 15 years. In 2014, Daniel attended NYU for International Business and Finance. His amazing background is reflected in the success of Chakra Café.

When Daniel had the opportunity to purchase Chakra Café, he quickly saw the opportunity. Sunnyside to him is not only his home but also a rich, unique neighborhood filled with diversity and a close community.

Chakra café has vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options to choose from. Daniel’s favorite menu item is his Avocado Toast which may include lox, eggs, caviar, etc.

On behalf of Daniel and Chakra café, he is happy to carry on the flag. There are many great ideas in the making and for the future of Chakra Café. “Life is too short to not be nice to others”. People tend to see niceness as a weakness but in the end, you actually help yourself by being nice to others. Behind this wonderful café is a wonderful man.
